Software
The PSC in-house programming team maintains our proprietary database and development systems. Having knowledgeable programmers and other IT staff on site allows us to react quickly to changes in regulations and coding requirements.
Hardware
The PSC IBM AS400 series database and development systems, powered through an uninterruptible power supply (UPS), operate on site. These systems maintain drives with RAID technology. This technology provides redundant data storage which results in virtually no down time and improves system response. Many financial institutions also depend on this reliable technology.
Telephone System
PSC has an Avaya telephone system that includes a sophisticated call center to answer incoming calls. PSC uses individual DID telephone numbers for each client to identify each call. This allows the incoming call to be answered with the correct client name and also allows for reporting on quantity of calls and other various statistics. In addition, this system is integrated with the main database system allowing patients to retrieve and leave critical information regarding their accounts 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Security
PSC systems are secured behind an onsite monitored firewall with restricted access
for authorized users. A dedicated anti-virus/spam/spyware server supplies data
protection for all workstations and servers.
